Rainbow Festival

The PreK classroom is an inspiring place that is full of magic, surprise, delight, and connection. Thematic based units evolve organically from the students' interests and explorations. Teachers observe closely, listen, ask questions to determine the most compelling areas of curriculum to follow. The students take the lead and off they go. This year, students delved deeply into color. At the end of this PreK unit of study, students planned a festival where they got the chance to revisit their favorite learning activities, hands on projects, and outdoor explorations of the unit. This gives them a chance to demonstrate mastery and growth and further integrate the concepts in a meaningful celebrations of learning about color.
